Microsoft Points

Today  the website Insidemobileapps has announced Microsoft Points (The currency of Xbox Live) will be phased out late 2012, replacing them with real currency. I think this is OK, but what are the new payment options, can you buy them in store like psn cash or do you need a credit card? Feel free to comment what you think of this.
